Armenian American Mental Health Association (AAMHA) committees

As a member, you can become a vital part of our committees and helps us actualize our mission statement. Active participation not only provides you with the opportunity to connect with other mental health providers, but also gives you a chance to advocate for mental health in the Armenian community in Southern California!

We have four committees, each chaired and organized by a board member. To help a committee, a board member (or become one), please contact us!

Membership and Outreach

– Responsible for spreading information about AAMHA and its mission.
– Promote AAMHA programs and recruit members for the Association.
– Keep members informed about scheduled events and activities through personal contact.

Education and Program

– Organize, train, and maintain educational activities for the members and the Armenian American community at large.
– Focus efforts primarily on raising awareness and advocating for issues that have an effect on the Armenian American community’s culture and the process of adaptation.
– Oversee the delivery of CEUs, and organization of conferences.

Social

– Plan, organize, and implement social events for the members to network and get to know each other.
– Main goal is to create opportunities for the members to be informed about the goals and objectives of the organization.
– Coordinate sponsors for the events and seek donations for the continuation of the Association’s educational mission.

Website

– Update the website and social media platform with all relevant AAMHA information.
