21 Jun Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PEDS) – Reiss-Davis Child Study Center – Los Angeles
The Reiss Davis Child Study Center is pleased to announce a postdoctoral fellowship opportunity to fill positions in the Psycho-Educational Diagnostic Services Department (PEDS). The position is a half-time fellowship (20-24 hours per week), beginning in August 2018 and ending in August 2020. The two-year training program is a paid position and the internship fulfills licensure requirements for postdoctoral supervised practice in the state of California.
The PEDS internship position emphasizes advanced training in comprehensive psychological, educational and neuropsychological evaluation of children and adolescents. Postdoctoral fellows will have the opportunity to refine their diagnostic skills and enhance their competencies in interviewing, test administration and interpretation by way of conducting a wide variety of assessments. This involves liaison with multidisciplinary teams, integration of diverse clinical data, and the communication of findings/recommendations.
Postdoctoral fellows will receive 1-hour of intensive individual supervision each week of all neuropsychological, educational and psychological assessment activity. Fellows will also participate in a two-hour clinical group supervision, and receive ongoing feedback during the internship program from their supervisor.
Fellows may also participate in the numerous research studies being conducted at the agency, which vary according to funded research at the time of the internship.
